Once the home of an industrial sock maker, Star, NC and the surrounding communities were impacted greatly by the closure of the industrial giant that used to breathe life into the community.  Taking cues from the previous thread that held the community together, I wanted to mimic the long linear tradition of factory work while also paying homage to the people who used to work within the same walls by utilizing clear glass fibers to reference the faces of the community.
